Project Description:
Major reconstruction of an existing pub to a supermarket.
Our Involvement:
The existing building was laid out in a traditional lounge and bar arrangement with numerous load bearing walls supporting the first floor and roof. The scheme involved removal of all internal walls requiring the first floor to be supported on temporary works prior to a new steel frame being inserted to provide permanent support and maintain building stability. The outside appearance of the pub remained largely unaltered.
